Superman

I kind of have problems with Superman.
First of all, we never really read too much Superman.  When we did, the stories just didn't grab us.  Something about DC comics in general turned us off.  We liked Marvel a lot better.
Yet, when the Superman movie came out, we were all over it.
The George Reeves Superman show bored us to tears.  There were no super villains.  All he did was stand there while bullets reflected off his chest.  That was boring.  There was never any action.
The idea of an all-powerful being with good morals because he was raised in Kansas is ridiculous.
If Superman's ship would have landed in Nazi Germany, by chance, things would have been a lot different.

Anyway, what I am getting to is I came up with this character named Real Man.  He works in a steel mill, so he is a 'man of steel'.  But then he gets involved in a factory accident, and becomes a parapalegic, and in a coma for many years.
In his dreams, he becomes an 'all-powerful' being.
Then his adventures could take place, because it would all be in his mind.
This makes a lot more sense to me.
People can often fly in their dreams.

For a man to fly just because there is a yellow sun, well, that is ridiculous.  He would have to be able to modulate his molecules so he would become weightless, and how he would project himself through the air is beyond me.

Normally, power corrupts.  Superman could probably take over The Earth if he wanted to.  Instead, he works at the Daily Planet, and he can't get Lois Lane to sleep with him.
It made sense when Superman was created for him to work at a newspaper, because that was the hub of information.  That is where Clark learned what was going on.  But now they have the internet.
For Superman to be happy just being a journalist with a minimum salary is questionable.

Most comic book characters never age.  Does Superman age?  Yes.  He grew up from being a boy, and he ages at the same rate as humans, apparently.

Why didn't Superman stop 9/11?  That is a mystery.  It seems like it would have been a piece of cake for him.

So, Superman can fly into outer space, and survive.  Well, he still needs oxygen.  So how that works, I have no idea.

Superman apparently has to eat and go to the bathroom.  This is never shown in the comics.

Clark Kent puts on some glasses, and no one recognizes him as Superman.  The DC comics explanation is that somehow Superman causes a vibration on his face so no one can tell it is him.  Also, they say that Superman shaves his own face by using his heat vision against a mirror.  Okay.....uh...yeah, right.

If I was Superman, I would do whatever I wanted, but then I would probably get bored, and I would become less and less interested in the affairs of humanity.  The Earth would feel like a prison.

If Superman became evil, and they captured him, no prison could hold him, unless they had some Kryptonite nearby.
A rock from your home planet stopping your powers?  Maybe the rocks would become affected by the yellow sun, too, and become 'SuperRocks'.

The whole yellow sun/ red sun thing doesn't work for me.

The early version of Superman didn't have him fly.  He could only jump 1/8th of a mile.

I don't know.  If I was Superman, I'd be banging a lot more broads.

Also, how does Superman even get muscles?  With not much to resist him physically, how could he build up muscle mass?  It is a mystery.
